Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools educates students of all faiths & backgrounds residing in the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Fairview, Spirit River, and Sexsmith. A quality Catholic education is available to all families, and transportation is provided in urban and rural areas! In Alberta, no one pays tuition to attend a Catholic school, regardless of your family's faith. We embrace a Catholic Christian education grounded in the Gospel Values. Gospel Values articulate strong ethics, morals, and values and the creation of a better community.

Staff members of Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools are a team of approximately 700 full time, part time and casual staff who provide educational and Faith-based services to over 5,200 students in 14 schools. No matter what role each staff member has, we are all a part of meeting the educational needs of the children in our schools.

St. John Paul II/Faculté Jean-Paul II opens in a staged format, Grade 8-9 in 2017/2018, 8-10 in 2018/2019, 8-11 in 2019/2020, and 8-12 in 2020/2021.

We encourage you to research our achievement and student/staff/parent satisfaction. Our students excel in many areas including academics, athletics, arts, and the trades, and teachers and support staff foster some of the most innovative and safest schools in Alberta. Alberta Education has the information and we encourage you to undertake research on our schools. Also, please feel free to stop by a school, take a tour, and experience excellence.
