Apply for Bussing

We require all students to apply for bussing if they intend on riding the bus during the school year.

 

Bus Pass Forms:

General Bus Pass Application

Pre-K Bus Pass Application 

*Only available to Pre-Kindergarten students that reside outside the City of Grande Prairie. They must also have an older sibling that rides the bus to qualify.*

 

Once completed, please send forms to GPCSD.Transportation@gpcsd.ca 

Please note that no payments will be taken upon application. If you are not eligible for bussing, you will receive a email stating you must pay to receive a bus pass.

 

Bus Pass Payments:

Student can be charged a fee of $320 to be transported on a bus if the student is in

Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 and lives less than 1.7 km from their designated school

Grade 4-12 and lives less than 2.4 km from their designated school.

Student will not be charged a fee to be transported on a bus if the student crosses a major arterial road to get to their designated school. Major arterial roads are defined as Wapiti Road, 68th Avenue, 100th Street, 132 Avenue and 92nd Street south of 100th avenue.

You must pay for the entire school year, in full, at the Catholic Education Centre​, prior to the student receiving their bus pass. 

 

How do I receive my Bus Pass?

Bus passes can be picked up at the student's school once school starts.

 

Lost your Bus Pass?

If a bus pass is lost or damaged in any way, the student must bring $5.00 to the school office, where a temporary pass will be issued for use, while a new permanent pass is being made.

Transportation services are provided by a variety of transportation companies:

  • First Student is responsible for transportation in the City of Grande Prairie, and various routes in the rural areas surrounding Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River.

  • Peace Wapiti Public School Board and Peace River School Board provides the District with some transportation services.

The staff at Transportation and Maintenance will be glad to assist you as well.

  • Please phone (780) 532-3013 and ask for the Transportation Department, for more information.

An awareness and safety program for parents and students who are using the

school bus system for the very first time, free of charge.
