Jeanne Fontaine Appointed Secretary-Treasurer (Temporary)

I am pleased to announce that Jeanne Fontaine will commence employment as the Secretary-Treasurer effective May 1, 2017.

Jeanne Fontaine has worked in school business for 25 years. Her last assignment before retiring and becoming a consultant was with St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division where she worked as Secretary-Treasurer for ten years.

Jeanne obtained a Bilingual Bachelor of Education with distinction from the University of Alberta, is a certified Payroll Manager, and holds the revered Alberta Certified School Business Official designation. 

Jeanne displays a strong commitment to education and has served on numerous provincial committees and Board of Directors. She has been recently awarded a life membership from the Association of School Business Officials of Alberta for her distinguished service and for her work as President of the Association in 2012-2013.

A Montreal native, Jeanne is passionate about her French roots. She loves to laugh, sing and dance. She is dedicated to her faith and family and is always excited to embark on new adventures. She is particularly excited to be serving the community of Grande Prairie Catholic and looks forward to developing new and enduring friendships.

“We are looking forward to utilizing Jeanne’s expertise and experience as we change various business processes within the schools and school district,” remarked Superintendent Karl Germann. Jeanne is covering for Chelsea Nestibo, the current Secretary-Treasurer, while Chelsea is on maternity leave.
