Eligibility:

Your child must be three or four years of age by December 31 of the school year.

Program Descriptions

PUF

Alberta Education provides funding for 3 and 4 year old children whose learning or development is severely delayed. Through PUF (Program Unit Funding), children access an early childhood program tailored to meet individual needs.

If your child may qualify for PUF, it is important that you contact us to begin the registration process. Please call the Catholic Education Centre (780) 532-3013 to discuss options for your child’s education with our Supervisor of Early Learning.

Children with Speech-Language Needs

Does your child have difficulty speaking clearly? Have difficulty understanding? Have a limited vocabulary? If you have concerns about your child’s speech or language, it is recommended that you communicate these concerns with Alberta Health Services for information that is specific to your child’s needs and abilities. Your child may qualify for government funded preschool through our Pre-Kindergarten program. Your child must be at least 2 years 8 months old on Sept 1st of the school year. Children with Developmental Delays

If you have concerns about your child’s behavior, cognitive ability or physical development it is recommended that you share these concerns with your family doctor and Alberta Health Services to receive information that is specific to your child’s needs and abilities. Your child may qualify for government preschool funding through our Pre-Kindergarten program. Your child must be three years of age by December 31 of the school year.
